About us
Real Muay Thai,
the Gladstone way
Methodical Muay Thai has been coaching Gladstone since 2020. A gym built on real technique, discipline and a community that lifts each other up.
Our story
We opened our doors in 2020 with one idea: teach Muay Thai the right way. This is the genuine art, never a watered-down cardio class, broken down step by step so anyone can learn it and everyone can improve.
Today we train kids as young as four, complete beginners stepping onto the mats for the first time, and fighters preparing for competition, all under the same roof, all part of the same family.
Whatever brought you here, whether it's fitness, confidence, self-defence or the fight game, you'll find a coach in your corner and a room that wants to see you win.

Why Methodical
The art of eight limbs, taught properly
Muay Thai is more than fitness. It's discipline, focus and confidence forged one round at a time. We teach it the right way, so beginners feel safe and fighters keep sharpening.
Methodical by name
A structured, step-by-step curriculum. Every class builds on the last so you actually progress, not just sweat.
Coaching that cares
Small-group attention and genuine feedback. We meet you where you are and push you to where you want to be.
All levels welcome
From nervous first-timers to competing fighters, the room is supportive, respectful and free of ego.
Fitness that sticks
Muay Thai is the most engaging way to get fit. You learn a real skill while the conditioning takes care of itself.
Your coaches
In your corner

The Fight Team
The sharp end of the gym
Our Fight Team is the squad that chooses to compete, and the coaches who corner them. Real technique, tested against a live opponent.

David came up through Methodical and now carries the gym's name into the ring. He found Muay Thai at sixteen after eight years of Taekwondo, took his first fight at eighteen, and has been chasing the next one since.
His game is built on sharp, varied striking and some of the meanest elbows in the room. He trains alongside fighters he grew up watching, including Chadd Collins, and he is working his way toward sharing a ring with them.
